Local Louisville Businesses Give Back

As the holidays approach, businesses are gearing up for seasonal shoppers and diners.  With the coming of November, we expect to see the last remnants of fall decor removed as Santa presides over the changing of the holiday guard.  But there is more than that going on in Louisville.  There is also a sense that we are entering the "season of giving."

When the weather turns cold, it's important for us to offer a helping hand to our neighbors, to those in need, and to those who have served our country.  One only needs to look as far as Facebook to get an idea of how this sentiment is permeating through our community.  Below, we highlight a few of the local Louisville businesses that are holding events in the giving spirit.

Old Louisville Inn Teams up with Veterans Helping Veterans Now:
In honor of Veteran's Day, Old Louisville Inn will be participating in Veterans Helping Veterans Now's "Hungry for Change" event.  On Monday, November 12th, 2012, OLI will give 15% of the profits from the day to Veterans Helping Veterans Now.  It's a great excuse to have a nice Monday dinner out next week.

Louisville Wellness Center Toy Drive in support of Share-a-Gift:
Starting on Monday, November 12th through December 8th, Louisville Wellness Center will be collecting donations for Share-a-Gift.  Share-a-Gift provides low income Boulder County families with lightly used or new toys that were collected throughout the holiday season.  Please stop by Louisville Wellness Center and drop off your lightly used toys for donation.  As a thank you, LWC will also be hosting a Community Event with complimentary food and drink on Saturday, December 8th, from 3:00-5:00 pm.
